Here are some wise words from a
Tibetan mystic named Chagdud Tulku
Rinpoche, from the book, LIFE IN
RELATION TO DEATH:

"Always recognize the dreamlike
qualities of life, and reduce attachment and aversion. Practice
good-heartedness towards all beings.
Be loving and compassionate, no
matter what others do to you. What
they will do, will not matter so
much when you see it as a dream.
The trick is to have positive
intention during the dream. This is
the essential point. This is true
spirituality."

The more you spiritually ripen, my
friend, the more life around you is
going to seem like a dream. Most
people spend their entire lives
caught up in the coils of attachment
and aversion. They seem to be living
in a parallel universe, and, in a
very real sense, they are. So you
may, at times feel isolated and lonely.

It sounds like your spiritual ripening has accelerated in recent
months. Yes, you are awakening your
creative energies, that were put in
a vault when you took Prozac in
college. That's wonderful news!
The months and years ahead are going
to be rich and exciting and satisfying times for you. Creative
projects will begin to gestate. And
as they do, the lonely moments will
fade and disappear. Why? Because
you'll be living in what Joseph
Campbell called "The Field of Your
Bliss," the true life that God,
the Universal Soul, intended you
to live; the life that was derailed
by Prozac and bad decisions. And
because you'll be in the Field of
your Bliss, Doors will open for you;
opened by new people you may not
have even met yet, who also share
the field of your bliss.

So be confident and upbeat! Listen
to your deep intuition, your Inner
Spirit. It will never deceive you;
never lead your astray. Tell yourself -- and mean it -- that the
best is yet to be. Because it is.

And be gentle to all those lost
souls who are wandering in the
dreamworld that you're rapidly emerging from. When the time is
right, you'll find the right way
to help any number of them. The
living example of your gentle,
spiritually ripening self, will do
more for them than any words.

Enjoy your new path. Savor every
moment!

Blessings,

Owen
