From my own limited experience, I found that the clays and charcoal will turn you into a brick factory. Psyllium will soften one's stool but will not assist you in bowel movements. It does soften fecal matter. Many herbs will increase one's bowel movements . However that will take some time and if one is "plugged with clay and charcoal one needs immediate relief and as it was suggested an enema will offer quick relief
When one is regular and and wishes to continue with clay and charcoal because they are great absorbers and colon cleansers, then one has to have regular bowel movements by taking herbal products as in Schulze's formula #1,and increasing water consumption. One has to balance cathartics and the intake of the clay/charcoal or Scluze's #2 combination. One should consider the intake of clay/charcoal, Schulze,s#2 combination very slowly in order not to be completely "stopped up". Increase cathartics and bulking herbs such as pysillium etc., as one increases clay/charcoal combinations. Also one can find that 400 mg. magnesium oxide capsules can help. The body will probably absorb 3 or casules without bowel movements. you might require 4 or 5 capsules or more. So it comes down to a balancing act, but keep your bowels moving one way or another so as not to "plug up". These are my personal views so please use your own discetion.
