Here's my story,
Last summer I was ingesting lots of sucralose.
I would drink the h2 flavors water, diet rite cola, and propel fitness water all during my summer intensive. (I was not even aware that propel contained sucralose, as it was hidden at the bottom of the ingredient list) I would also eat le carb ice cream by the pint full because it was "low in calories" along with who knows what, I thought sucralose was safe. After all, it was "made from sugar" right?
Around that time I started to shake horribley, I didn't know what was wrong with me, I couldn't hold anything still, my hands shook constantly, I felt as though I had parkinson's or something. I thought maybe I was getting too much caffiene so I stopped drinking diet coke (good in theory), but in turn I replaced it with more sucralose, I drank more h2flavors and more diet rite and 7up plus. The shaking only worsened. I had an inkling that it could be the sucralose, but I didn't want to believe it, it tasted so good and there weren't any calories. I asked my doctor and he told me that it couldn't be that, sucralose was "proven" safe. I then decided to go online. I googled "sucralose" and "shaking" and got quite a bit of information about other people experiencing the same thing. I decided to cut sucralose out of my diet, and almost immedietly the shaking stopped! If I accidentaly ingested some, it would start again. I was finally free from the shaking and could go on with my life.
This reaction could have been due to the fact that I had an overload of this poison in my body, or that I was just sensitive to it. I KNOW that not everyone will react like I did to sucralose, but that doesn't mean that it will not effect them. Like aspartame, sucralose can have effects on the body that we don't know about. It has NOT been thuroughly tested, in fact it has not even been tested on humans. Is a low calorie beverage really work sacrificing your health for? Especially when you don't have too. There are natural sweeteners out there like stevia and lo han extract that are natural and calorie free, if that's what you're interested in.
The thing about Splenda that really burns my biscuits is that it's marketed to kids. It's disgusting. I'm Sharing what Splenda did to me, but it has effected many other people as well, I suggest visiting http://www.truthaboutsplenda.com . . . for more thurough information.
