Public hearings on SSRI anti-depressants; Paxil named in class-action lawsuit.
"I had no idea that it would be like this, the electric jolts, all the panic attacks I missed while in Paxil , bottled in you came out like a rage when I tried to quit Paxil" ; "I couldn't walk, I couldn't sleep" ; "I had crying spells" ; "So much worse that the reasons I went on Paxil for", "It was actualy physical pain, it was so bad"... - reports from people trying to stop Paxil.
But get this - the World Health Organisation recieves reports of drugs that people get addicted to:
** "Paxil is the drug that has got the HIGHEST number of reports to the W.H.O. of withdrawal , of any drug, EVER". ** That quote from Dr. David Healy, Dept of PPsychology, University of Wales.
There are class action suits underway now.
Glaxo-Smith-Kline denies Paxil is addictive. Their own TV ads say "Paxil is non-habit forming". So your doctor certainly cannot know, he cannot tell you, he cannot warn you it is addictive.
Paxil's own testing, information that only came out in a court case, had uncovered a link to suicidal ideation, but was not reported publicly.
Paxil is the one where four studies were done and only one was published - the only positive one! Its criminal, and it is in the courts now.
Social Anxiety Disorder? Its mostly just normal life, but has been marketed as an illness we need a pill for. It may be a condition created by some aspect of modern life, likely DIET, likely on purpose, for this purpose of drug use, in my opinion.
Paxil for PMS? That shows we are being medicated for normal problems. And now you have a much worse problem - addiction with withdrawals that many cannot tolerate.
An ill for every pill? A pill for mood swings? A separate phychiatric disorder - PMDD ["Premenstral Dysphoric Disorder"] was defined on a TELEVISION ad , not from a list of accepted psychiatric disorders, not in the manual of psychiatric diseases. This trickery is known as "Branding a condition".
Stage Fright. Shyness. Public speaking anxiety. Horemonal changes. But these have been defined by the industry as "Social Anxiety Disorder" [branding a condition]. To sell their own pills, nothing more, its not a medical issue at all. It is marketing. We took it all in, we believed it.
Personally, I was prescribed Paxil about 8 years ago, I filled the prescription as I allways do so the Doctor gets what he wants, but I do not ever take them. They are right there in my closet, too dangerous to take.
