I think that the courage Dr Day has demonstrated, in not only beating her cancer but also in challenging the views of others, is to be commended.

It is interesting that the experiences of Dr. Day are similar to that of other, truly dedicated individuals, who genuinely want to improve conditions for the human race (e.g. Allen Carr: stop smoking program). I too have encountered similar resistance in the course of my research work in the alcohol area, so can relate first hand to her experiences.

Unfortunately, the profits of governments and corporations, too often is placed before the well being of individuals. The health system has evolved into nothing more than a disease maintenance system and few monies are directed towards projects aimed at prevention.

Governments pump billions of dollars into projects aimed at looking for the magic 'pill' which will counteract the poisons big business has put into our food, water and air supply. Furthermore, health practitioners promote the intake of toxic substances (e.g. fluoride and alcohol), before the effects of these substances has been investigated from a holistic perspective. Unfortunately, now the majority of research funding comes from corporations with an invested interest in the results.

However, the good thing is that for every individual who is dedicated to amassing financial profit and/or protecting their 'self-interest', there is also a person who for little financial reward tirelessly works for the good of mankind.

I wish Dr Day every success in her quest and encourage her to keep strong in her faith.
