Hello,

Careful of panacea's. It is unfortunate that a problem you had was most likely worsened by meds.

I recently read: "The Body Ecology Diet" by Donna Gates. It is not the 'be all and end all' but she makes some good sense, and gives a good explaination of the ecology of the body. The website it: http://www.bodyecologydiet.com.

You can do consults with DG, but don't waste your money. Just keep reading and learning how to improve the balance of candida in your body.

Also, don't fall into buying her expensive kefir starters, if you're going to get into making sauerkraut or kefir (great probiotics...you'll read about it on her site, in her book), read this info:

http://www.healingcrow.com/
and
http://users.chariot.net.au/~dna/Makekefir.html

I hate to sounds like such a skeptic, but remember, no one person has the answer for you. I'm finding more and more that people will gladly take your money whether or not you get better.

Another thought for you is to check out http://wilsonssyndrome.com
I say this because you might be able to find a good MD who understands the "whole body connection" through this site (I found a *great* allergist in my area. It wouldn't hurt for you to take your basal temperature and pulse for a week, just to see how you're doing that way. As soon as you wake up, before you move at all, put a thermometer under your armpit (probably best under the one not affected) for 10 minutes. Try not to move much at all. Also take your pulse at this time. If your temp/pulse are unusually low or high, you have a thyroid issue going on also.

I share this info, just because it is what I've dealt with and what has helped me somewhat (although I still struggle, but not with yeast infections...but allergies).

Oh, and here's a recipe for Acidophilus Milk:

1 cup water
1-3 drops liquid stevia or pinch of powdered stevia
1 Tbsp probiotic powder (get at your local co-op or health food store)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lecithin granule (optional)

Mix in blender. Drink.

There are many different opinions and suggestions, and mine is just one. I hope I've provided some helpful info. Again, be careful of those who want to sell you this or that. I've spent a lot of money to no avail for my allergies. It is just getting yourself on a good program that works for you. You may have to give up certain foods (fruit, sugars, etc.) for some time, until you get your body back in balance. You can do it though. Don't give up.

The very best to you.

In good health,
KarenMarie
