You sound like a good canidate to read Dr. Jordan Ruben's book Patient Heal Thyself. On the front cover there is a picture of him looking much like you have described yourself and he had Crohn's disease as well. You can get the book at Amazon.com. It is all about how he was healed of Crohn's disease through faith and diet. I do know that Primal Defense (soil based organisms was one of the main things he used).
