With any bulk forming fiber supplement, there is the possibility of the substance getting stuck in the esophagus and causing an esophageal rupture. This is one reason for the recommendation of drinking water with the administration of fiber. This is the reason for the warning that anyone with swallowing difficulties must be careful or avoid the product.But those of us without those type of problems will do just fine with these products.
