Hi Madie, The Salt Water Flush is great and may help you a lot, but it's not advisable to do it anywhere near normal digestion times. Having said that, when I have felt the need I have done a coffee enema late evening then a P&B Shake before bed and Salt Water Flush after waking, that's a good combination but I wouldn't eat again until lunch on such a day and I would not make a habit of it either. The Salt Water goes through the colon so you must make sure it is as far away from digestion as possible; that's why it is normally prescribed as an addition to The Master Cleanse and other 'fasts' where nothing solid is being proccessed in the intestines. I always find that flushes like salt water, and enemas can leave the insides feeling a little tender and have to be done carefully with recovery time allowed. Also don't forget to make sure the Sea Salt you are using is un-iodised. Malden's Sea Salt is one I know is good. Good luck.
