Why do you automatically jump to the conclusion that if someone is challenging some aspect of the theory of evolution...that that automatically makes them a creationsist?

Come on, that's not scientific reasoning...and you of all people should know that!

When did John proclaim himself to be an anti-evolutionist...or creationist? I believe in his earlier post in this thread that he clearly stated that he wants PROOF FROM BOTH SIDES:

And resorting to insults, sarcasm and suggesting that you are the all-knowing on everything from Science to religion...and now to dog-rearing is most unbecoming. You might try a little humility and open your mind a bit...perhaps you, too, would learn something. (If nothing else, at least a more positive way of interacting with people!)

When you know that you don't know you will be on the right track. I will add that you have a very Western-centric view of science. Please don't come back with some comment attacking 'religious "zeolots"'...as Daoism (of which Zen is an outgrowth) was philosophical in origin and these were some of the greatest scientists of their time and also developed the basis for Traditinonal Chinese Medicine. Our religious/philosophical beliefs cannot be seperated from science...this is a false dichotomy. A hallmark of Western Science is that something can be measured and experimentally repeated. It does not take into account that there are things which we are yet able to measure...although that doesn't mean they don't exist. Only that we DON'T KNOW how to measure of replicate them yet.

You also might want to do some delving into phenomenological and hermeneutical research and the human sciences. Then again, you might not consider human behavioral research as 'true' science.
