Absolutely. People should be encouraged to take responsibility for looking after their body but there's no point in saying to someone who has lung cancer its your fault for smoking. I believe my mum's bladder cancer was partly caused by my dad's smoking, but I wouldn't say that to my Dad (esp since he has schizophrenia and dementia). Guilt isn't usually a positive thing.
