i do not accept that they are formed from oil either. i saw my mother-in-law's stones, and I know she got sick before she could drink the oil. if you give me an explanation as to how that could happen, i'm all ears. otherwise, i see a hole in the lancet theory, at least one, and until that is explained, i hardly see anything as conclusive. that coupled with other lab reports of cholesteral/bile/calcium.... sorry, too many unanswered questions.
