I believe that "transference" is a term coined by and used by the discipline of Psycho-analysis. Funnily enough, this is considered by large swathes of people in the community of medics and psychologists to be totally and utterly UNscientific.

Strange, isn't it, where people will turn to find ammunition when they are more interested in attacking an opponent than in gaining deeper understanding, during the course of an argument.
