that is another trite saying. since in most cases alternative medicine doesn't know the cause of disease anymore (and usually less) than conventional medicine that is just another saying to trot out.

the other tactic is of course to cry Conspiracy and say you are the enemy/programmed wrong/one of the drug companies stooges etc. gets you out of having to think or defend your position. neat trick
