the internet really is a revolutionary development. It takes power away those who formerly controlled information by making such information widely available. it is changing everything. Medical professionals in particular can no longer rely on scare tactics to intimidate patients into following advice. As several of the posters here have made clear recently, outsiders to the system now know more about health and illness than the doctors themselves.
