Grog you misunderstand me. I did not expect the pigs to have stones they are too young. Pigs that size are 8 months old FYI. What I did know is that the internal organs of a pig are near identical as humans so at the insistence of my wife I carefully removed them with a portion of the intestine (duodenum) so she (we) could study the structure of this organ and determine where all the stones would be found. the structure of the liver and ducts jsut does not seem to be able to accomodate the stones and chaff that people are describing. I was hoping someone else had done some dissections or research and could tell me where to look for these places. What was really surprising was the size of the duct leading to the duodenum...no way would it ever pass a stone 1.5-2 cm ...it just won't fit if these pig livers are any indication. Does anyone know if pig livers differ that much from human livers in structure?
