I have regrets all the time. I NEVER let my dogs out by themselves now. I was just very young then and not so aware of how mortal we are.

My little Suki died 4 years ago and I am riddled by guilt about that....but that is another story.

They depend on us and our judgment so much. You could have two dogs, you know...
