Not weird at all! It just shows that you are very sensitive and that you have a strong connection to your pets. Why should this be weird?...animals will frequently go off and hide before they die, so why shouldn't someone with sensitivity to energies 'feel' when they die?

Some people have the ability to 'see' when a person dies. Not because of their physical signs, but they see a subtle light (often golden) leave the person just as they die. Other people are more kinesthetic and 'feel' things.

I am more like you. I 'felt' my father die when he was several hundred miles away. He had been sick for a long time and we knew that it was going to happen, but I actually felt it happen...I was in the shower getting ready to go somewhere and I just knew. Sure enough, when I returned home there was a message from my step-mother on the phone and he had died at precisely the time that I had been in the shower.

If you think of it as a 'negative' ability, consider this...what if death isn't what we think it to be? What if this is the dying's way of making a final connection with you as they depart their physical form? What if there is something mysteriously wonderous on the other side, and if only we recognized this, we could feel joy and celebration in the passing instead of all the painful emotions associated with death?

Just some thoughts to ponder...

But you are definitely not weird, nor are you alone.
