Matter and energy cannot be destroyed. There is an afterlife, so the only question is, "Smoking or non-smoking?" The burden of mourning is, I suggest, one of being aware of this personality as matter and energy moved into eternality, and a feeling of this soul's presence while the natural mind thinks of them as "dead." There is a time for mourning, a time of connecting to the eternal and the timeless Creator.
