Yes there is prayer and it is so important to cleave to our Lord, and put our trust in Him.

Prayer asking for protection from such evils and also prayer asking for it to stop. I don't know if it will ever stop. Sorry if I sound negative, but things are going to get worse before they get better. The Bible says so. At no fault of our Heavenly Father. Responsibility lies solely on the shoulders of man. I think you know that though.

One of my favourite psalms and Bible promises:


Psalm 91

1
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

This I declare of the LORD:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I am trusting him.

For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from the fatal plague.

He will shield you with his wings.
He will shelter you with his feathers.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

I know it is hard to understand this and have faith, when evil is staring you in the face.  But dwell in the the Lord, and His teachings.  It gets easier and easier to have faith.  To me, it is easier to believe God will protect me from harm, chemicals etc. that I have no control over rather than believe in something like orgone energy ...

Philippians 4:7-9 

If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.  Keep putting into practice all you learned from me and heard from me and saw me doing, and the God of peace will be with you.
