Hello 40679,
At first I wasn't sure whether your post should be on this forum or the debate forum, but you seem to have a legitimate and welcome presence here. I regard CAUTIOUS doubt as sincere, and by experience, not only respect it, but expect it of the sincere. Remember that unbelievers are not always sincere, some will be 'naysayers' only seeking controversy and the opportunity to negotiate the merit of every established institution (physical or spiritual) for the sake of their bruised ego and conscience and they will try to bait you into endless controversy and try to get you to doubt your heavenly father by carefully choosing their words. This is why SEMANTICS (word usage) will always (in any situation) be a very handy thing to know. "See to it that no one makes prey of you..." Collosians 2:8.

God is the owner of the human race, and we are His children. He loves us very much as any parent loves their children and He wants us to be happy. He did not set us up, He gave us a chance to be happy. The reason it doesn't always work the way God meant it to is that He also gave us freewill so that each of us has the choice of doing what is good and doing what is bad (one cannot exist without the other,...OPPOSITES are the law of nature). Whenever I say "NATURE", I'm referring to the unbeliever's understanding of the Creator. God does not CAUSE evil, He allows it because the opposite of anything is necessary for it's existence (not living things, I'm talking about concepts). WE (the people) cause evil because we almost always (99% of the time) make our decisions selfishly and leave our fellow human being to fend for themselves. Evil is not always a big catastrophic or sinister event, it is anything that prevents perfect and complete goodness from happening.

Objections to the creator are, in my opinion, nonsensical and artificial (there is no good reason to object to the existence of a creator). I have been a Christian for 18 years and have heard many objections to God and Christianity, none make sense and their real purpose is to try and justify the person's desire to continue doing whatever they like. I think that the worst thing we can do as Christians is take seriously people's objections to God. The person's real objections are about some of the silly beliefs some Christians have. When a person gets beat up, they suffer consequences and are in pain, personally, I couldn't care less if the person who did it feels uncomfortable in their conscience, I have compassion and will help the victim, but everybody selfishly wants forgiveness from a PERSON (the only forgiveness I care about is The Lord's). So, the bottom line is,...you either love Him or you don't. The naysayers that are obsessed with controversy will always hide behind it. God is not a book and can not be measured, weighed or studied.
