God bless you Puppies. I really like your thinking. I have always prefered to just give as needs arise than be forced to give somewhere where my heart is not involved. If giving becomes an automatic part of your lifestyle, you find that the occasions to reach out are endless. For me, I get a lot more joy out of it this way, and that is my reward. I feel much closer to God when I decide to bestow my love with a gift or money or whatever, than in some rigid form of tithing. However I have held quietly to these thoughts for a very long time and normally I don't even think of sharing this with anyone, nor do I expect to be understood. Bringing it up here and reading the response of others, plus reading your own thinking on the matter has felt very burden lifting and edifying for me. Thanks to you and all who honestly opened themselves up to answer.
