Thanks for your response. I appreciate it...you are saying each person must be individually convicted on ~how~ they keep the Sabbath. I've also seen you say you don't condemn Christians who worship on Sunday. I believe you are worshipping with Messianic Jews and I do have great respect for their congregations and groups such as Jews for Jesus. I've told you before I respect your decision to worship on the Saturday Sabbath.

The reason for my post above was not to ignite a Sabbath debate. Rather it was to demonstrate how a CULT was transformed into an evangelical Christian church. I do hope you will take the time to learn more about them--their story is nothing short of miraculous. Imagine if the Mormons came out and said they were wrong about the Trinity and publicly reformed!!! At the heart of their transformation was a discovery of the Gospel of Jesus Christ--please read their story in their own words--it's glorious. Notice in my original post I pointed out that the OLD WCG kept a LEGALISTIC Sabbath. Many (not all) Sabbath keeping churches do keep a legalistic Sabbath--directly tying it to our salvation. Like CalifLady said below, I too have been condemned by Saturday Sabbath keepers because I worship on Sunday. SOME Sabbath keepers teach that all Sunday worshipping Christians are APOSTATE AND that one day, the mark of the beast will be Sunday worship. Once you get involved with SOME legalistic Sabbath keepers, the list of Sabbath do's and don'ts you are given could make your head spin. I've seen SOME Sabbath keeping churches place MORE of an emphasis on the Sabbath, than they do on the Gospel. This is a tragedy--and it holds some people in BONDAGE to a works oriented system of Sabbath keeping.

I respect your decision to worship on the Saturday Sabbath. I respect everyone's decision to worship on the day of their choice--and keep it however they are convicted. I do believe this is vital topic for ALL Christians to explore. Cleansoul has provided some links above. I have provided some links above--I exhort you to prayerfully read them--consider how far this church leadership has come in their sincere search for Truth!!! I trust that the Holy Spirit will lead people into the Truth as they study this topic with prayer and with their Bibles.

By the way, I even visited a WCG church after their transformation. The church I visited still worshipped on the Saturday Sabbath, but now they rested in Jesus Christ and HIS perfect righteousness alone--the Gospel.
