Greetings Donna,
You to can take off Saturday the true Bible Sabbath. We can prepare our meals on Thursday and clean the house and be ready for the Sabbath to begin on Friday evening. I am a Seventhday Adventist. Now most people believe that it is just a cult. Well that is because most people don't really search to find out what they believe. Nothing strange, but we do believe that Saturday is still the true Sabbath of the Lord.
We read in Genesis that the Lord Blessed and Hollowed this day, not for Him but for Man. The Lord knew that man is so greedy that if He did not command him to take one day off a week that man would work straight through. This special day was set aside and the Lord would walk in the Garden and communion with Adam and Eve. One day a week the Lord set aside for us to communion with Him. Many will say that it does not matter, but it does matter. It was put in the Bible for a reason, this reason is that all would know that which day to rest. Others say it is a Hebrew or Jewish day. The Apostles even after the death of Christ kept the True Sabbath. No where in the Bible does it show that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday (Man instituted via Pope Constintine) but the Lord does tell us that we should not follow after mans doctrines and traditions.
I hope all would study the truth out, it does matter which day and how we worship the Lord and creator. The Ten commandments still exsist and are in effect today. We are not saved by them, but they simply tell us when we have sinned against man or God. We must remember that the true saints will "Here is the patience to the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and have the faith of Jesus" Rev.14:12 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2Tim.2:15
God Bless
