Its the same feeling I have when I go on a fast and my willpower gives in to the flesh and I eat. Or when I make a mistake and later really feel bad about it.
I think everyone goes through that valley at times, but the key is to know that Jesus loves us and He has left us with a Helper to help us in times of trial. The Holy Spirit is the Helper that helps us keep on the narrow path to everlasting life.
John 15:7
.....It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
It doesn't matter if you are overwieght, bald, full of warts, or disfigured in any kind of way. Jesus loves you and intercedes on your behalf. Feel free to just talk to Him and let Him know how you feel. He already knows you and knows you heart. You see the beauty of it is that it's not your appearance that counts but your heart that He sees.
The enemy loves to attempt to make us believe that God does not care about us. But we go by God's words that He does love each and every one of us. The lies of the enemy are just empty gun barrels that can't affect us unless we believe them. When the devil tells you that Jesus couldn't love anyone like you, then you speak with your mouth the bible scriptures that lets you know God loves us all. Here are a few scriptures that you could quote.
John 3:16
16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
When Jesus was faced with being tempted by the devil, He responded by speaking bible scriptures three times.
Matthew 4:1-11
3) Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
4) But He answered and said, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."
5) Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,
6) and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down......
7) Jesus said to Him, "It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God."
8) Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
9) And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."
10) Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'"
11) Then the devil left Him......
So you see, the enemy may try to convince you that God doesn't love you, but resist these lies of the devil by speaking scripture as Jesus resisted the devil with scripture and the devil will have to flee.
James 4:7
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Dear brother/sister, Jesus Christ truly does love you, you can put all your worries and fears down at His feet and trust in Him. His love is so pure and true.
Blessings to you
