I will be praying for you such that the doctors you see can treat you with detail investigation . Actually, hypothyrodism is more easy to handle than hyperthyoidism. The syntoms of hyperthyroidism is just the reverse fo hypo. Before sure to get your doctor to check you T3 T4 , antibody test, thyroid scas, etc and it is important to find out the causes of you thyroid problem. May I also remind u that drugs for hypo can cause losing of calcium and hence, the dose of medication is very important.
Are u seeing a endocrinologist for your problem.Some food such as white carrot , soy milk do have an antithyroid effects and u should avoid this food. For me, I am trying to take these food because I am hyerthyroid .

I pray that the doctor you see would arrive at a proper diagosis and put u on the optimal treatment and advice.
