Amen. Our church did the "40 Days of Purpose" and I had misgivings about it. To me it was just another universal church activity so we could all say we were on the same page. It didn't tell me anything new and really didn't emphasize the Gospel.

One of the Christian authors for whom I have great respect is Dave Hunt. He will be doing an article on this in his next newsletter. If anyone wants to know what he thinks about it, just check www.thebereancall.org and read the February newsletter.

I agree with the article you quoted on the fact that real Christians don't need to sign any documents. But there's a lot more than this issue that's not right with the churches today. I did a study once on how the modern church differs from the 1st century church, and it made me realize just how far we have strayed.
