Well Ann I did not think I had any hearing loss but noticed improvement in one ear immediately after removing the cone. We have to be tested at work each year and the tests were all passed but I hear better now out of the left ear.

That was the first cone I did. Since then my hearing seems to have stabilized so my guess is it pulled out a plug of wax that peroxide and ear oil did not remove. But I have used approximately 14 cones since that post, about 8 of them with wax globs about 1-1.5 inches long.

I am still amazed at that amount of wax being in such a tight space. I have suffered no ill effects of any kind except the possibility of a cleansing cold from a very dark colored wax that appeared to be the end of the impacted wax. I have done 3 candles with very little wax and am hoping the majority of the gunk is out.
