Dear Meira

A Central Point to my thesis is that the Muslims in Southern Lebananon have become less militant, and have turned more toward activies aimed toward prosperity. My main theory is:

For Israel:
1. Find ways to reduce disrespect to Palestinians/Muslims.
2. Find less offensive ways to netralize support structures for Terrorists, as an alternatives to helcipter gun ships. Such as arrests
3. Actively work to decrease beating of Palestinians by Hooded Israeli Police.
4. Gain confidence in altertnatives to Prison that rely on the proserity teachings of the Koran.


Israel's complaints against Palestinians/Muslims:

1. Espouse the Death of Jews.
2. Teach children that Suicide Bombers are good.
3. Celebrate suicide Attacks on Israel and the West.
4. Give finacial aid and comfort to families of the suicide bombers.
5. Encourage the birthing of more children to participate in Jihad.
6. Preach Jihad and support for Jihad in Muslim Mosques.

All these grievances are born from a feeling of inferiority. If Israel will reduce ateh disrespect to the Palestinians, the fuel for the israelis grievances will fade. By conducting actions against Palestinians in the name of retribution or retaliation or strenght, the resentment of the Palestinians and militant muslims is raised.



Palestinian's Complaints against Israel, Jews and the West:

These complaints are not as precise as would be ideal for negotiating.

1. Taking Palestininan Land
2. Blocking access to Islamic Holy sites.
3. Creating more nuisance than necessary for Jews to visit Jewish Holy sites.
4. Tearing down, or bulldozong, houses in suspected Militant areas.
5. Conducting Helicopter Gunship raids on suspected terrorists.
6. Inflicting civilian casualties, including children, during Israeli raids on suspected terrorists.
7. Keeping suspected Muslim Terrorists in prison, without any opportuinity for rheabilitation.
8. Failure to develop any rehabilitative model for terrorists or terrorist supporters, along the model of Propserity Principles in the Koran.

If Israel does not work to decrease hostile feelings from the Palestininans, and other Muslim organizations, the West will be faced wtih an unnecessary enemy.
