Thank you for your suggestions. I was following the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) exactly, I have done it 3 times (modified each time), but it just doesn't work. I will try to find a different tea - mine is bought in Canada and does contain senna, ginger and figs. It doesn't taste so horrible (I bought some teas in Europe and they were hard to swallow - but they were effective).
