Check out the following link which details the Burroughs book. There are special instructions for Diabetics that call for replacing the maple syrup with mollases in the beginning. Other than that the other ingredients remain the same. The link will lead you to the specifics.

I have no knowledge of diabetes so I have nothing to share with you regarding the safety of fasting for someone who battles with diabetes. I pray that fasting is a safe route for your daughter and that the Master-Cleanse will help her tremendously.
