I went through the same thing and quit, but I tried again and am now on day 13, one thing that helped is that I do half lemon and half lime and I started to remove the pulp. I know the pulp is good for you, but it was just making me gag and my glass would just sit there, so this way I can drink it. I also found I have to use a light maple syrup as I cannot stomache the medium. Another thing is to try the drink at different temps, its good warm on those cold days.
