Go by how you feel. Trust your intuition, and be patient. 15 years ago I did a 13 day water fast, followed by many attempts to do it again, but only lasting 3-5 days, usually, except for one 11 day fast. This is the longest I've ever gone. But for me it was an issue of discipline (somehow I have it this time). Now that I'm here, I'm glad, because there really is a lot to clean up. This gives me a fresh start.

That being said, a 30 day fast is a huge commitment. You spend a 12th of your year abstaining, then another 24th or 12th readjusting. It's a huge benefit, but one that can be achieved through other means over a longer period of time. Sensible eating and periodic short fasts can be great too.

I have a 15cm ovarian cyst that I have to eliminate naturally, if I don't want to have surgery. I've lived with it for over 5 years, so I now want to get some quick results. Hopefully I can see a reduction at the end of this. Considering all of the other great results I've had so far -and the 20 lbs loss- I'd be surprised if there is no change at all in the cyst.

We'll see.
