Good morning everyone and Happy First (or second) day of Spring.
I would like to start sharing some important concepts that I believe are instrumental in assisting people in making the transition from the medical model lifestyle to the natural healing lifestyle. I guess the very first concept would be about our beliefs themselves. Here's what I have observed during the past 30 years of learning about natural healing; degenerative disease, nutrition and health...and people: Our beliefs determine our behavior. Actions speak louder than words. As we sow, so shall we reap.
So many people are so knowledgeable about so many things! But information alone, even accurate information does not always translate into actions, behaviors and habits that result in symptom-free states of optimum health and well-being.
Ignorance truly is the cause of all human suffering; and this is why I say that; education is the very best medicine on earth.
This is precisely why, by the way, that you will see me posting time and again, my suggestion to seek my direct personal counseling. I do this because my practice is filled with people who are very knowledgeable about the natural healing arts; all kinds of things...amazing things! But they have not as yet figured out the right combination of daily habits and therapies to produce the results they are looking for. And this is exactly where my greatest skills are: assisting others to become more proactive in their own self-care.
By and large, people do not know where the gaps in their own biological foundations are...and they do not know what dietary and lifestyle habits and influences are causing those gaps. And until those gaps are healed, no matter what you think, do or say, you will see little or no progress whatsoever. There are literally millions of people in this situtation. I describe it this way: overfed, undernourished, misinformed, uncertain, stressed-out, and more than a little bit frustrated by the whole topic of nutrition and health.
Fortunately, there is a solution to all of this. It sounds so simple, but isn't that true of so many other areas of life? The simple truth of the matter about solving the riddles of our own personal relationship to nutrition and health is this: the fundamentals. Do we know what the fundamentals are? Are we consistent in our practice of the fundamentals? Do we know which ones of the key fundamentals are particularly helpful to ourselves...and to our unique set of circumstances and conditions?
