I'm not debating the 'power' of raw food--

but, one thought:

feeling "connected to life" put another way, could be: feeling *bound* to and identified mostly with the physical.
Considering we are spiritual beings having a physical (impermanent) experience,
perhaps feeling *disconnected*, put another way could be: not *identifying* so intensely with the form as the whole truth...not 'resonating', if you will, with the frequency of animal life forms.(which is not to imply being uncaring of them:
quite the opposite.)
