i tried an experiment and want to know if anyone knows how it can be verified. i have heard so much about ionized minerals and how much better they are for us etc.

so i decided to try to ionize the lime water. its not really that complex. i simply put 1 1/2 TB of the dilluted lime water (which is one TB of calcium hydroxide in one gallon of water) in about 20 oz. of water. i added a pinch of Sea Salt and then put it in a stainless steel bowl. i then negatively charged this using a nine volt battery by following these directions-

this gives the water a negative charge. now my question, does it also give the CALCIUM in the water a negative charge? and if so, would this not be "negatively ionized calcium"?

i talked to a friend of mine and he told me that the way i might be able to test this is by shining a laser thru the water before and after the charging process and see how the quality of the light differs, and also something about a spectrometer, which is beyond my current level of knowledge.

i am not interested in having a debate about the internal usage of calcium hydroxide, thats another thread for another time. i am interested if anyone knows two things.

1. could the calcium become ionized?

2. how would you test the calcium to be certain one way or another?
