Yes,
If one has an imbalance of minerals , specifically magnesium you can get an acid reading for saliva.
Calcium by itself is good, but out of balance it is bad, very bad. It accumulates in the saliva, causes tooth decay along with many other problems. Calcium= constriction magnesium = relaxation. All the muscles and electrical parts of your body need both. If you have too much calcium out of balance it can cause, leg cramps, heart attacks, migraines etc.
As a matter of fact there is a movement currently to get magneisum added to the drinking water in some municipalities in an effort to save the lives of more than 100,000 people a year that die from heart attacks.
An acid reading in the saliva is good indication you may have an inmbalance of too much calcium. How does this happen?
It happens because we eat far too many diary foods designed for cows to drink not us. Cows can handle tons of calcium because they eat grass for their magnesium.
People eat tons of dairy and do not get enough magnesium to balance it , ergo creating a imbalance. Very bad
And it causes tooth decay. Although calcium may be alkaline it needs magnesium to get into the cell. Magnesium opens the door to the cells , lets the calcium in and then escorts it back out in a constant flow. Without magnesium the calcium builds up in unwanted places in the body, like heart arteries, heart muscle, blood , saliva etc. and does it damage.
So if you have an acid reading, try eating some greens or take a mag supplement for a few days then retest. You will see results.
