my 16 yr old son too had frequent bouts with boils. Was on prolonged antiB's first for acne. (if only i knew) then he got the staph (i think the antiB's kill the good flora too and his body is left with nothing to fight with.) hence, in comes the staph at the first chance of a break in the skin. So he got back on antiB's to stop these huge boils on his arms and legs. They went away but I think the antiB's pushed it deeper into the system instill of killing it. as soon as he goes off, he breaks out again so they don't kill it. and the antiB's cause candida (rashes, tired, etc) and lower his immune system, soooooo he has acne, excema, candida, hives and staph to treat. (I was worried about his Acne and excema...if only i knew) If the antiB's worked, he wouldn't keep getting them boils back (recurrent boils) so you need to look elsewhere for the CURE.

GOOD NEWS!!! he is now off antiB's for over 6 months. we put him on saccromyces for 10 days, (a super acidophilus) then pro biotics for three months. He was weaned off antiB's after the 1st month. yes, he did break out in some boils again but we treated topically with CCC cream (coneflower, comfry and cammomile) and bandaide as soon as one would appear and they would get smaller and dry up if gotten early. most did.

In the beginning, sometimes the big ones DO have to drain so let them. keep covered as drainage is contageous. To get them to drain, grate carrot, put in gauze and leave on for 30 min to an hour. (the Sugar in the carrot draws the pus) then shower in hot water, it will drain more, clean with hydrogen peroxide, and cover to let the pus drain out overnight, and it will. keep clean and covered.

It also colonizes in the nose so treat with mupirocin in the nose for three weeks, then once a week each month for a few more months. Everyone in your family should do this. It's that contageous. my chinese medicine man says it comes from within coming out. My naturopath says its on the outside when it touches the skin. I have seen it spread from the puss on the outside so i tend to believe that method. Skin cLeanliness is sooo important cause staph germs are everywhere.

staph likes dry skin and dust. LYSOL KILLS IT. use in laundry, and those wipes in the bathroom on the handles, switches, toilet seats, etc. and dust everything. his sheets should get changed real real often. I even put sheets on the couch and sofa so I can keep them sanitized and staph free regularly. Seems like all his ingrown hairs (puberty) could turn into boils, but he also got boils where there is no hair, i. e. knees. etc.

he has had to make some changes, mostly in his diet. no sweets, Sugar is aweful. veggies, veggies, veggies. like 5 lbs a day when he can. a juicer is a good way to get some. And protein is good too. No more fruit juices, he drinks fruit teas now.

but most importantly, he needs to shower daily. Use hibiclens soap (in laundry too) or a strong antibacterial. Then lotion up daily. IMPORTANT: (add tea tree oil to his lotion). He needs to take garlic, (whole cloves, or kyolic) 3Xday. (He needs to smell like garlic when he is done.) KYO-GREEN three times a day. Oregon grape tincture is good too. Vit C is real important too. I had to switch to organic meats because there is so much antiB's in the meats today.

try a naturopath next. our insurance doesn't pay for ours but God love them, they have helped our 16 year old, where the doctors failed. This one skin Dr. wanted to keep him on antiB's for maybe years!!!

so today, calvin's still has some acne. is fighting candida (rash under his arm and groin area) but his excema is all cleared up. (fish/borage oils) he gets an occasional boil (ingrown hair) but nothing too severe or as frequent like before and they are gone before they get started now if we catch them in time. CCC cream works wonders.

We are taking a liver detox tea for 4 weeks now to work on cleansing him of the candida. on pro biotics for the candida too. but i feel we at least have an upper hand on the staph battle now. i was real depressed about him getting it at first but feel like we are curing him now, instead of suppressing it. It hates garlic, and tea tree oil.
