Hello, I know it's been awhile but I'd just like to say "thanks" for posting this information about cloves. I had 3 Amalgam fillings replaced and after the first one, I thought I was going to have to have a root canal (which I did not want) because the pain was so intense! I started chewing on cloves for several days, and even kept one on my tooth during the night. Over a few weeks time, the pain diminished and feels fine now. I'm hoping and praying it stays that way. I wanted to have the mercury taken out of my mouth but no one explained about the possibilities of resulting root canals because of the obvious root damage.
