My son went for his first NAET visit. It was not exactly what I thought it would be, and I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this sounds right.

She started by looking in his mouth and said that she could tell that he had metal issues because of small red spots on his tongue (looks like larger taste buds to me) and because he has these extra vein looking things under his tongue.

She had him lie on the table and hold a vial of different things while I placed my right hand on his bare leg. While I held my left arm out to the side and toward my back and my thumb pointing down, she would then say the name of the vial and push down on my arm to see how much resistance I had in my arm. I'm not strong due to fatigue I have all over my body. But she seemed to think he was resistant to almost everything but maybe salt.

I was kind of ok with everything until she had me lay on the table with my arm up and straight out in front of me and she pressed down on my arm and made a comment on there was no resistance with my son touching my bare leg. It makes since to me that I am stronger with my arm straight out in front, instead of my arm out to the side and toward my back.

Then she had him lay still on the table for five minutes with a vial in his sock. She then told me that he didn't need to avoid any foods, because she used me as a surrogate. If he was older, she would have him avoid an item for 25 hours. Well, if NAET works on a child with a surrogate, then why does an adult ever need to avoid anything if they can just bring a surrogate and then they wouldn't have to avoid any foods?

Also, she didn't do the "closing of the gates" because of the technique she used.

It's not making much since to me, because I thought that NAET worked on the condition that you avoid an item each time for 25 hours.

I went to her because my son has been allergy tested and found to be allergic to dust mites. He has enlarged tonsils and adenoids and I thought if this works, maybe his tonsils and adenoids will go down. I haven't seen any change in him and only a sore arm in me.

Also, she said that his tonsils and adenoids are coming from glandular problems.

Anyone have any experience with NAET?

My doubts are increasing.
