It is so sublte sometimes even in relationships where each is known to each other- this dominance. I think most people know when they feel like they want to be "with" someone, and when one does not show any interet in that type of relationship than any behavior that makes one uncomfortable, or feeling trapped aand cornered by a "pass" is also rather forceful and inappropriate-even if it is done in ffun- or ffun for the one party.
