This would classify as a debate post, but hey, where is the drug war debate forum?
---- War on Meth
At first, I was behind the War on Meth, because I believed it is a dirty drug not like marijuana or opiates or cocoa, and it is killing people and making bad addicts.
Now, however, I am not so sure. A closer look reveals that Crystal Meth of today is the same old methamphetamine of the 60's.
This meth is the same as the USA pilots were taking as they bombed the Canadians, and it is used on virtually all long flights they do in the USA Air Force.
It is the same meth truckers use to drive all night, its the same drug as you might find in a street dose for uppers, and is likely found in some prescriptions.
An article I read in the newspapers this weekend said the rates of deaths and hospitilisations are the same, about 1.3%, not the huge rises reported daily in the major media. Its just plain lies, exaggerations, a basic "Reefer Madness" ploy.
The War on Crystal Meth is being used for stiffer penalties across North America. We have tried to arrest and prison our way around drug use before, and IT HAS ALLWAYS RESULTED IN MORE USE, HIGHER PRICES {MORE CRIME AND DAMAGE].
Don't you think it look more like an advertisement when you see what stores carry the stuff you need to make Meth, post websites where the recipies can be found? Sure it is!! The War on Meth is MEANT TO INCREASE IT'S USE.
Why? - figger it out yourself. The conclusion is too stunning to accept unless you figger it out yerself. It took ME 3 yrs of torture to see the light...
Quotes:
Amphetamines, the family of drugs Meth belongs to "relatively new" if compared to cannabis and opiates which are tens of thousands of years old. Meth has been with us since the sixties as documented in The Speed Culture by Lester Grinspoon written in 1975. Truckers used to use them to keep alert at the wheel. Meth has pretty well been used as the same rate since the sixties thought the drug has now made the radar screen as the latest drug-de-jour for the press and the state to demonize.
Stiffer penalties and government propaganda -

Solicitor General spread gossip about harm of meth, but has NO FACTS to back it up, jsut conjecture to explain CHANGE IN LEGAL STATUS - something that usually requires tons of legalese and fact, just left out here for the War on Crystal Meth:
