Only he can decide to stop. Nothing you do will make him stop---it's something he needs to do on his own. Please consider going to Naranon meetings. If there are none nearby, then go to Alanon. You will learn alot about addiction and how to cope with a loved one's addictions. Also, you will meet others who know what you're going through and can offer advice as well as support.
