Me too. I really want to stop this morphine addiction and get my health and life back.

I was on it for pain, and then I got better, but was left with an addiction.

I am about to try to wean down a bit, and then cold turkey withdrawals - third time in two months.

I agree that methadone is not a forward step in terms of health and control of life ; being in control of the addiction means stopping taking stuff. But it is a step that could get you off opiates...some will benefit from it. Esp if you can't stop taking stuff like me...
