Considering the experiences I have had with surgical interventions I
think I would trust the instinctive intuition a maggot is known to
have to differentiate between necrotic and live tissue as opposed to a
human rumaging around in there.

Did anyone see House, M.D. the other night? They used some little
creature to gobble up the necrotic tissue a male patient had on the tip of
his nose due to frostbite...and this got me to thinking!

These little guys love to gobble up the bad stuff. And furthermore,
they know when to stop eating!
