I have not tried an anti candida diet. Perhaps someone else out there has. It would be interesting to see if there is any improvement. I think that diet could play a key role in this condition. Someone else, I think it was 'accord' mentioned that she thought there might even be a link to Coeliac disease and encouraged people to research it. Did you know that you can have Coeliac disease even if you have a negative blood test for it. The only way to really know if you have it is to have an intestinal biopsy. You don't even have to be aenemic. Both my son and I have the lip condition. We both eat lots of bread and also both have gastric upsets such as loose stools.

I would be interested to know if anyone has ever had a biopsy to test for Coeliac disease. This disease can cause inflamation in differnt parts of your body including the lips and mouth. I was on the waiting list to have this biopsy but then accidentally got pregnant and have been told I will have to wait till after the baby is born to have the proceedure. I was really annoyed as I really wanted to rule this out as a possible cause for the lip problem. Is there anyone out there that would be willing to have this done to rule it out for yourself and the rest of us? It does not hurt as they give you a sedative and place a small camera down your throat into your stomach and into the first part of your small intestine. It only takes about 10 minutes. If no one wants to (and I completely understand) I will go back on the waiting list to have it done but that may be a year away. I would rather not put my son through the proceedure as he is only 4. My daughter and husband do not have the lip condition and they are both different blood types to my son and I. I think there must be a genetic link. Does anyone have anyone else in their family who have the lip condition or Coeliac disease?

I just think it would be a good idea to rule this out then there will be one less possible cause to research!

Good luck everyone. Keep the ideas coming. One of these days we will crack this thing.

Bye for now
