The squat is king of weight gaining exercises. It works so many LARGE muscles intensely that your body will respond by packing on the meat. Obviously other than your legs it also exercises your core torso muscles, back, and arms as it fights to keep the bar on your shoulders. Go easy at first and make sure you have proper form down. In fact it would be a great idea to have someone spot you to correct any mistakes you may be making.
