I agree that naturally derived C is optimum. For the longest time, however, going back several decades, there were not many/any providers of bulk natural C making themselves and their products readily known to the kinds of health-minded people who would use such a product. Of recent years this has improved but now there is the additional burden of convincing long time synthetic users why they should switch.

FWIW, I found a little more info on Bio-Immune's Absorbic-C, just last night, which indicates it is derived from beets.
