I read the threads below and wonder just how to respond. You did a masterful job, Owen. I started the large doses of vitamin C around 11 years ago and have NOT been sick since. I take 6,000-8,000 mgs a day, but do plan to up it after reading of your success. Like you, it flabbergahsts me that family and friends can see me lively (at 61) while they suffer. Pity, pity. It really is.

I went over and read some of Barbee's articles and he does not seem to be anti-alternative approaches. Seems to me his problem is one of ignorance. All he would have to do is try some of these things just to see for himself.

Mr Barbee, I challenge you to a trial. Next time you feel a cold coming on, take vitamin C heavily (10,000 mgs minimum) for 5 days and see what happens to the cold. Or just suffer with the misery of a cold.
