Inside your head must be a wonderful place!

Do tell...what is it made of?

Does it have a title?

"White noise" jumps to mind. That radio noise found between stations is said to help some with tinnitus, at least masking the ringing for a while. Some doctors think steady use of white noise might diminish some tinnitus, over time.

Creativity is a great soother for many ailments. Building something beautiful, even just in imagination, lifts us lightly over so many obstacles, doesn't it?

Proof of our mental capabilities, I think.

Garage-sailing, I tripped over stashes of leftover yarns, and bought them for a song. By sorting them into rainbows and seasons, and repackaging, the colors have turned into a scrumblers' yarn resource that delights the eyes.

Scrumbling is freeform knitting and crochet. No one can make a mistake that isn't invisible or easily fixable. It comes up like jewels.

See these sites for examples...

... http://www.handspinners.com/archives/fall2004/jennydowde.html , http://www.knotjustknitting.com , and, especially, http://www.geocities.com/nornsneedlework/pinkababyproject.html

Scroll down this last site to see how the work of nineteen freeformers was shaped into wonderful baby clothes.

At knotjustknitting look for the pages offered by skimming your mouse across the line of white print.

Then you can get into Prudence's Galleries, etc.

She gives seminars all over the world. We met in Vancouver (Canada), and I've actually touched scrumbling! It's gorgeous.

My needlepointing husband is learning to crochet. :) ...At age 81!

(He asked me to ask where you live. He's a map person.)

Thank you for the lovely gift of the sight of your creative ingenuity, Molly. You inspire me.
